Mrs. BrieAnna Hester Alford

Owner / Artistic Director

BrieAnna Alford lives in Zebulon, NC with her husband Jason and the newest members of her family, her son Johnny and daughter Clarke.  She grew up in Henderson, NC and studied dance and gymnastics there throughout her childhood. Dance was always a passion of hers and teaching it to others became a life-long dream. She earned a bachelor degree from Meredith College where she majored in Dance Studies. While studying at Meredith College, she was a member of the Meredith Dance Theatre Company and the Meredith Tap and Jazz Company. BrieAnna was honored to be the first person in history to represent Meredith College at the National American College Dance Festival (ACDFA) performing a solo at the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington D.C.

BrieAnna has had the privilege to study under many famous dancers and choreographers including Shae Sullivan, Gene Medler, Napoleon and Tabitha D'umo, Tommy Bracco, Savion Glover, and many more. She has also attended many dance intensives, including the Rockettes Summer Dance Program in New York City. Outside of dance, she competed in pageants and won many state and national titles including Miss North Carolina's Outstanding Teen, Miss North Carolina top 5 finalist and preliminary talent winner multiple times, as well as numerous other talent and community service awards. She was also awarded the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012 for completing more than 4,000 hours of community service.
BrieAnna has taught many competitive and non-competitive dancers over the years. Along the way, her passion for teaching dance became a dream of owning her own studio.

Ms. Sydney Carroll
Company Manager

 

Sydney Carroll is from Knightdale, NC and currently resides in Greenville, NC. She was the first graduate of Legacy Dance Productions. Sydney graduated from East Wake Academy where she was a member of the dance ensemble and clogging team throughout her high school career. She has now gone on to continue her dance education at East Carolina University to obtain a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance Performance and Choreography with a Certificate of Entrepreneurship. Sydney has had training in various styles of dance including, tap, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, modern, lyrical, and clogging. In 2009, she began dancing on the competitive level where she won numerous regional and national overall high scores. Sydney has had the privilege of dancing under many famous dancers and choreographers such as, Twitch, Mike Minery, Mandy Yip, Franciso Gella, Mark Meismer, Joe-Joe Grooves, Alex Wong, Mark Goodman, and Cyrus Spencer just to name a few. While still staying avid in her dancing, Sydney found a love for theatre and was lucky enough to be in Ira David Wood III’s “A Christmas Carol” for two years. Sydney along with others from Legacy Dance Productions had the great honor to travel to New York City and perform in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with the Spirit of America Dancers. Dance has always been Sydney’s life and now she is blessed to share her passion and love onto the next generation of artists at Legacy Dance Productions.

Ms. Cassie Scott

Preschool instructor

Cassie Scott was born and raised in Zebulon, NC and loves to teach your children dance! Cassie was under the dance instruction of BrieAnna Alford for many years before graduating high school. Cassie is currently a student at Nash Community College obtaining her Associates Degree in Criminal Justice Forensic Science. She plans to attend NC Wesleyan University in the summer where she will be working towards her Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice. During her free time Cassie loves to go hunting and fishing with her friends and family. Cassie loves to teach all her dancers new skills and make relationships with each one she teaches.

Mrs. Amber Wise

Clogging

​

Amber Wise began her dance career at 2 years old. During her time as a dance student, Amber attended numerous workshops and competitions. She has had the opportunity to take classes from Al Gilbert, Stepp Stewart, Tammy Colucci, and many others. She was named a Youth Dance Ambassador at Dance Troupe, Inc. Competition in 2008. Upon graduation, Amber went on to join the North Carolina State University Clogging Team. She was an officer on the team for two years before becoming the student director of the team in 2011. During her time with the Wolfpack Cloggers, Amber had the privilege of studying under Andrew and Kacie Babbitt from Final Destination, Chip and Misty Harrison from Down South Dance, Joel Harrison from All That!, and many others. Throughout her five years with the team, Amber was able to compete in the American Clogging Hall of Fame Conference, as well as the Clogging Champions of America Conference. She was a part of the 2nd place Traditional Line Team at Nationals in 2009 (ACHF), as well as the 1st Runner Up Small Team at Nationals in 2011 (CCA). After graduating from college in 2012, Amber began teaching dance. Now she is the director of the East Wake Academy clogging team where she is able to work with high school students on technique, different clogging styles, and choreography for school pep rallies and events. She could not be more excited to be sharing her love of dance with students at Legacy!

Ms. Tama Guerra

Ballet

 

Tama Guerra began her ballet training in Brazil with Mrs. Aracy Evans, who is best known in Brazil as the teacher of the teachers. When she was 15, Mrs. Tama received a scholarship to the Escuela Nacional de Ballet de Cuba, the biggest ballet school in the world and the most prestigious ballet school in Cuba, and at 18 she graduated as a Classical Dancer and Ballet Teacher. In her career, Tama has toured through Europe and danced in Germany.
After her return to Brazil, Mrs. Tama danced at the Ballet Stadium in São Paulo and began teaching. In 2010, Mrs. Tama served
as a Ballet Master in a company in São Paulo, Brazil. For 13 years, Mrs. Tama taught ballet for the beginner to advanced levels and prepared students for the exams at the Royal Academy of Dance (London) and ENBC (Cuba).

Ms. Stephanie Alford

 

Stephanie Alford lives in Apex, NC. She grew up in Zebulon, NC and studied dance there from the age of 3 until she graduated high school. She then attended Meredith College where she earned a bachelor degree in english and a K-6 teaching licensure. While at Meredith, she was part of the Meredith Jazz and Tap Company as both a performer and choreographer. Stephanie has had the opportunity to take classes with many dancers and choreographers such as Al Gilbert, Gene Medler, and Tammy Colucci. She has been teaching dance classes since 2010, and enjoys working with dancers of all ages in a variety of styles. Stephanie is currently a 3rd grade teachers in Wake County Public Schools. She loves working with children and is excited to share her love of dance with Legacy dancers.

Mrs. Taylor McGlothlin

 

Taylor McGlothlin is a resident of Pilot, NC where she lives with her husband Grant and two children, Grier and Bennett. Taylor attended Meredith College in Raleigh, and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a license to teach high school. While attending Meredith College, Taylor was a member of two audition-based companies: Meredith Dance Theatre and Meredith Jazz and Tap Company, where she performed at concerts and conferences around North Carolina and surrounding states, and choreographed pieces for the Meredith College dance concerts. While attending Meredith, she had the opportunity to study under many popular dance artists at various conferences and perform in the works of acclaimed guest choreographers. She began her dance training at the age of 3 and continued her dance training through college. Taylor is trained in tap, ballet, jazz, clogging, hip hop, lyrical, modern, and acro. She has been teaching dance and gymnastics for 8 years at various locations including Cary, Wilson, and Nashville, NC. Taylor is currently the school nurse for Franklin County School Systems. She cannot wait to share her passion for dance with the dancers/tumblers in the area and inspire a life-long love of the art!

Kaelyn Sterling

 

Kaelyn is a recent graduate of East Carolina University where she obtained her BFA in Dance with a concentration in Performance and Choreography and a Minor in Business Administration. She began dancing at the age of 3 in Raleigh, North Carolina and later discovered her passion for choreography. Kaelyn has an extensive background in contemporary, hip hop, improvisation, jazz, and ballet, and she is thrilled to begin her journey with Legacy Dance Productions.
